Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi has recently announced an update to its fee structure for BS and professional programs, as reported by ARY News on Monday.
According to a notification, the Finance and Planning Committee of Dow University of Health Sciences recommended and approved the revision of fee rates for undergraduate (BS and Professional Year programs) and postgraduate programs in its 27th and 28th meetings held on May 13, 2023, and June 17, 2023.

The revised fee structure includes various components. The examination fee for the BS program has been set at Rs5,000, and the fee for the joint market sheet is fixed at Rs3,000.
Additionally, students will be required to pay a transport fee of Rs32,000, along with development charges amounting to Rs14,500.
For students availing hostel facilities, the security deposit fee has been revised to Rs25,000, and the hostel fee will be Rs40,000.
In the event of a gap in any examination, a fee of Rs10,000 will be charged to the student. Moreover, if a student cancels their admission to Dow University, they will be liable to pay the tuition fee for one year.
For students enrolled in professional programs, a deduction of Rs300,000 will be applied in case they seek cancellation of admission.
These adjustments in the fee structure at Dow University of Health Sciences aim to reflect the recommendations made by the Finance and Planning Committee and support the ongoing educational programs at the institution.
